This Donnie Darko website done by hi-res!, a London based design company is as interesting as it is frustrating. There are some very effective uses of sound to create a suspenseful mood, and the visual nod to the computer interface (viewer window), gives a sense of realism. The interface confuses the viewer with random hot spots and yes or no questions as buttons which lead to incomprehensible screens, that begin on the bottom right, which is a geography of the screen much ignored by users. The last page has button states which react, but have no clear destination, as much as I understand the website as a conceptual piece, I believe that this site can only be succesful as an acoutrament to a more coherant film.
